Hello everyone,
In the last week of May sometime, I will be heading to Texas for my oldest cousin's graduation (I am the oldest of the cousins). Theoretically, I should only be gone a week. But if weather or something becomes a problem, it might be a second week. For the most part, commute hours notwithstanding, I anticipate I will have regular forum access, but whether I will have NWN access or not, is another matter. It will just all depend on how stable my eight year old laptop is. :-D
You will not be rid of me entirely, as a result. Deal with it. ;-)

Where in Texas? At the risk of offending some natives, I would say San Antonio is one of the most beautiful cities in the South...D/FW, not so much.

The Dallas/FW area. Arlington, more specifically.
In any case, it is still a bit around three weeks away yet, but I wanted to throw the heads up. So that if anyone wants to take care of anything in-game before then, they know I will be gone a week.

It seems that unless something comes at the last moment, we are leaving Wednesday on the 28th! And it will likely be more close to two weeks, unless I get a job interview sooner. If you need any IC interactions taken care of before I leave, now is the best time to address them. On the upside, I have more time to clean up around here!

Arrived in Kansas. Seems the laptop works on minimal settings, for the time. :-) So you will see me about in between things, when I get breaks from roadtripping or relatives. Yay!

I am in Texas, and can access the forums only at this point (not even Skype). My laptop cannot connect to the internet, and it is a registry issue - something I do not want to try fixing lest I ruin the thing. I will be back in the game world sometime after this weekend passes!

Well, here is some news...
My cousin got her M.D. (we are all proud of her), but also is going through surgery this coming Monday. The surgery will determine whether she has cancer or not. Am crossing my fingers for the better.
As a result, I will likely be until Tuesday or Wednesday night before I get tentative NWN access again. In the mean time, I will troll the forums and make the best of the next few, otherwise intense days.

Good news!
She has not been found with cancer. And they were able to do the procedures without her losing anything major. All vitals have been accounted for, and no big ugly scars will be left behind.
There were a total of four cysts they removed, piece by piece. Together, they were huge and scary looking on the scans. But things are good now! We are just waiting for when they are ready for us to take her home.

Just got her home. She just needs helped around a bit for today and cannot do any heavy lifting for a few weeks.
Still unsure when we will get out of here. It is going to depend on the weather. But should be around tomorrow night, if I am not tonight! So far, things are looking good though.

Thanks for the kind words and positive energies, everyone! Could definitely use them after this weekend, especially with how negative things seem to be as of late.

I will be heading back to Boulder this Wednesday or Thursday, depending on the weather. Woo!
I love my family, but I really, really would like my own room again. And to get started on regular exercising, resume a more active job search, etc. Feeling pretty depressed here.
