American Lit II was one of my favorite classes. Dear god, though, the first one; I never want to read A Modern Instance again.
Real life comes first, we shalt all be here when you get back.

I hear you at times. If I have to read any more Twain, I'll kill someone.
" fun stuff in American Lit."
Bill Burroughs, PK Dick and Don DeLillo?

No PKD yet unfortunately, as much as that kills me. Dude is like my favorite author of all time. A Scanner Darkly changed my LIFE!
You wouldn't get that stuff until contemporary lit, really.

That's what I'd figured, but apparently we're covering Divine Invasion and UBIK.
In our American Lit II class, the majority of things were in between 1870-1930. We read a few LH and RF poems that were their later works, but that was mostly "just for fun".
I didn't take contemporary lit, because I took contemporary poetry in its place, but I had some people tell me they covered things from the 1960s-present. What out for "Post Modern Lit" or "Modern Lit" if your college offers that. It could be a trap.
I am back in black, jack. I'll be active playerside, DMside once midterms are over (Last one is on wednesday)
