I had heard he was sick a few days ago, but... wow. He will be missed.

I will miss him and his comment about the use of " colorful metaphors " will always bring a grin to my face.

For any who are interested, I wrote this today. It's not the memorial I'd like to give him, as I'm obligated to report it as news and remains as neutral as possible, but I sniffled like crazy while I wrote it. I think it's really great how much he was loved, that fans gathered that quickly. Some on Reddit even said that they hadn't played the game in ages, but they were coming back just for the memorial service with their Constitution-class vessels. It was really touching.
