General Discussion / Dungeon Feedback.

What is your favorite dungeon?
Sunset Mountain Gnolls

Second choice is the Netherese Vault. Tilverton is also fun, but for roleplay reasons and fond memories.

What do you like about it?
The frentic pace of combat, and challenging mixture of enemies.

What don't you like about it?
Power creep - the place is at LEAST twice as hard as it used to be, but it gives "decentish" loot, maybe - but never a weapon or shield or highly noteworthy reward - the enemies are much harder than they used to be but the reward is the same.

What is your least favorite dungeon and why?
Frost giants - only because I don't have my 20/- Cold Resist and the area always reminds me about it.

In actuality, the place with the instant kill light traps - I don't get how jumping over or blinking through is somehow different from walking through, and the mechanics of jumping through and over are tedious to me.

Which do you just not go to?
Aforementioned light trap place. I don't even know it's name.

How many on the dungeon list do you not know the location of? (Go explore more.) :P
Shaundakul demands I explore, therefore I don't look at the list (and don't remember most places).

Certainly interested, though, philosophically, I've come to feel over time, that it is the role of 25+ to facilitate the action and plottage and fun of those below them, more than reap all the benefits thereof themselves.

I've got, in the works, being written up, a little diddy of a plan that I hope might be able to engage a good number of players in a number of different "factions", each with their own reasons and goals and interests, that when combined, looks pretty interesting, and when separate, makes for a bunch of subplots that can keep the server entertained. THAT, to me, is the role of a high level epic, more than the actual going out and doing the thing themselves. The intrigue and plotting and planning is very much where the fun is for me in it.

Not that I don't like going out and kicking things in the face, but it's easier for everyone involved to let those who haven't done as much of that and who's mechanics aren't so complicated and high to have some of the fun.

tl;dr I haz plots PM me if you're interested in shaking thingz up I iz master planner.

Something I wanted to ask - does anyone know, in lore, or whatnot, whether the Wyvernwater reaches the sea itself, by river? And what ship or boat transit along it is like if so?

Off Topic / PnP - Shadowrun. Interested?

I could certainly be interested. I will whisper conspiratorially with you about this.

By this argument, I also want to see the equations for gravity and momentum applied.

One note: friendly speed boosting doesn't play especially well with limited range auras, as friendlies may lapse in and out suddenly from the aura repeatedly.

Also, while I understand the "tactical nature" of having to position to get an aura's benefits, I would sooner have them be a little larger, if possible, so they can be used without having to constantly try to measure out the perfect position at all times.

I can't say this is entirely inaccurate, Arya.

Ilcil - the kid with a single father, family military tradition, who is doing his senior year, having already gone to boot camp at the age of 17 after parental approval was granted, just waiting to knock out the last year and get to service. A little broody, a little intense and serious, with no time for the nonsense high school crap. He won't sign your yearbook and he won't pose for your selfie - if you get a picture of him, he isn't smiling.

Rashan - The kid always on field trips with whatever club or group has a trip to offer, the further, the better. A foodie and culture junkie, foreign languages are among his loves. Backpacks through Europe over the summer, and plans to study abroad extensively during college.

But... but... ninjas don't appear. They disappear.... but how do they disappear if they aren't supposed to appear in the first place...

See you when you're done!

It really captures the antics of the family. I love it. Lia, especially, is getting her mischief from Rashan. Note the little smirk.

Thanks to Reality Jumper for a great expedition to an interesting locale. The events and happenings were amazing, and Rashan briefly knew the joy of being worshipped by a single individual as a god. He was Beakzor, the terrible metal bird god of the underworld, all hail His symbol the scrambled egg.

No, seriously, top three of all events I've ever been in, considering all servers and all events, ever.

Just interesting, fun, amazing, strange, and unpredictable.

I would bring up a few points, with the first being that there are examples of people switching almost often. Fzoul is the best example, of someone literally deity shopping. I think in a case like this, the other consideration, which isn't often discussed, is "how useful is the convert?"

The other point I'd look at, is "the nature of the faith in question". By this I mean, the size of the following, the nature of the deity. Shaundakul, as an example, sends his avatar to walk through the ruins of Myth Drannor, to aid those who get in over their heads, and personally approaches those he seeks to turn to his faith.

While I understand the one size fits all fair approach, I think that there's a lot of room for flexibility. The major thing I would say we want to avoid, is long durations, of months, of waiting for the change to be done. Does it make sense? Maybe. Is it fun? No. No I can't imagine it is.

Mystra also has rangers at times.
