Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Absolute favorite ever. I love it even more than I love Ouran High School Host Club (which is a lot, mind).

But I love the opening theme to Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai the best.

This guy decided to answer a very important question for Dungeon Masters everywhere, once and for all. You have to admire his dedication to science...and alcohol.

How hard should it be to drink a potion under water?

Take your time! We're not in any hurry. It's that time of year again for a lot of people, anyhow.

I know it may be cliche, but more and more recently I keep hearing this song in my head when I play Voss (helps that we recently watched Supernatural from the beginning, I think).

Anyway, I think this is more suitable to his temperament now than the others I've posted for him. Oh, and if you haven't watched Supernatural, it's awesome!

I love the song.. back in the day when I had nothing better to spend my money on but car stereo equipment, I used to use this song as a speaker test due to the range of  highs and lows. Nothing like hearing this song blasting at 120db through some Oz 6.5" dual cones, Some Blaupunkt tri-axle 6*9s and a pair each of JL Audio 8" and 12" subs.
I love classic rock. He calls it my "old people music," and makes fun of me for it. Now he associates this song with Voss. I'm calling this a victory.

You mocked me for loving that song. Now it's biting you in the ass.

Hope you enjoy it here! I'm sure we spoke before, and like I said then, and will say now - don't hesitate to ask anyone here for help. We're a pretty helpful bunch. Except that one guy... Nobody likes that guy ¬¬
Pfft. You are that guy, Twinkie.

Just sharing my personal experience here, having a rogue main.

[...]

I wouldn't say that playing him has been hard. I think it's just a matter of having the right tactics and finding what the best way is to deal with a situation.
THIS.

I played Mouse as a rogue/SD for a year before her rebuild, and she kicked a decent amount of ass. The only reason she got the rebuild was due to a quest that made the newer build make a lot more sense for her, and she still is, despite the investment in bard, decently heavy in rogue/assassin.

If you pay attention to what you're doing, yes, you can solo as a rogue. But if you don't want to invest that time and effort into exploring tactics, then you're going to have a bad time no matter what you build.

While I like the idea of a CD Wiki (Gatecrashers did the same way back in the day, and I loved that thing - it was fun to do PC write-ups from an IC perspective on them) I do think there should be a caution given that just because it's on the wiki, just like it being in any source material, doesn't mean your PC knows it. Just because there's a note in the journal...doesn't mean your PC knows it. If they can't make the respective lore or knowledge check...they don't know it. They can think they do and be wrong, as Fire pointed out, and it's totally okay for a PC to be wrong, but accepting that means that we as players have to set aside our pride in our perceived knowledge of source and recognize that our characters are imperfect people, and just like us, sometimes they can be wrong - even when we are right on an OOC level.

Alright, so I suppose I'm overdue.

I'd like to give a big thank you to everyone on this server that's made my RP feel worthwhile, and has made my time here fun. The list is pretty long, so it's difficult for me to cover everyone, but I would hope that the persons that have engaged with me know that I truly appreciate it. I know I can sometimes be tough to get along with, or my characters can be difficult to RP with, but some people make a special effort - and that to me is something I truly do value quite immensely.

Amongst the group of people are a few shining jewels:

ClockworkMayhem, and Sinister Omnibus - You two have been good friends to me, out of character, and always provided me with roleplay in character. Lord knows that some of my characters just weren't the sort of people most would approach, but you two made a special effort and I hope that you've found your time roleplaying with me as great as I've found my time with you.

SurrieSoul - You've been a lot of fun to RP with and talk to in general, and I've come to consider you as one of the few people that make me consistently want to return to the server for more RP. I sincerely thank you.

EdwardFalcona - Our love goes deeper than words. Put butter on a pop tart, it's so friggin' good.

WickedFae - I know you're no longer around, but you were the one constantly badgered me to join - without you I'd have had basically no source of RP at all.

SilverFeather - We've known each other for a long long time, and you've always been friendly to me, and you've always given me RP. You've been handling my madness across servers, and for that I am sorry. :P

To those unmentioned:

Thank you for our time together, it's been a great journey so far.

You're a punk and we love you.

P.S. I read the fine print, you know.

Yeah, I tend to buy most of my games there, and we have a Power Up Rewards card in my teen's name there, so he's constantly reminding me of these things. He trades things in every few weeks, whereas when I get something, I never want to let go of it. >_>

Well, it's my hope they'll open it up with a toolset and the ability to host servers of the same size as Neverwinter, and I even had some suggestions as to how to do that with the current game market (as seen in the first article, there) but I don't know if they plan to do that, or not.

I've actually written two articles concerning this game (well, one mentions it as not being the new NWN - the other's talking about a delayed release).  I think it's great that it's bringing tabletop back to the PC in a fashion similar to Baldur's Gate or Planescape: Torment, and I like that a DM can run campaigns on it, but it's limited to only 4 players and the DM, and that, I think, is why it can't really be called "The new NWN." If we can't do something on the same scale as we've got here on CD, it just isn't the same.

Still, I do want it to play with friends.

Off Topic / Character Theme Song, version 3.0

This one's been posted before for Sylwyn - the version by Hozier being the song of her "suitors," those male bards that she feeds from. But during her time as a mortal, she fell in love, and learned what that kind of pain and desperation felt like, and just how badly you can want it, no matter how much it hurts. So I found this version, a cover by Sofia Karlberg - and I can almost imagine it's Sylwyn.

I do put loot in boxes and bags. I have a lot of things, however, and sometimes, I need to switch out gear. Sometimes I have too much loot for all the boxes, and it has to go in a panel. Then I switch something and it drops. So yeah - it's a good idea to keep that first panel free. I've lost things before. Vince explained to me that leaving the first panel free would prevent that - I'm inclined to listen.
