Experience

The daily ticks is actually a timer until you can level up again. While RP experience is a good idea, the combat XP is totally pointless. I would hope that the combat XP would take way longer to gain than the RP XP, but at the moment you can get all the combat XP in one day, no matter the level. So you burn out the little feeling of progression so fast that you are back in the square, doing the square RP again in no time.

While I don't exactly want to chime in into the rest of discussion, I will only say that the combat XP statement above is simply not true for high epic characters. Quite the opposite, especially for casters that are researching the Epic Spells, gaining combat XP is a chore and grindfest, effectively discouraging high-level characters from any activities that may cost XP. Moreso, the anti-taxi system forces those high-epics to band up (And exclude lower-level toons or be forced to grind even more) to get any reasonable amount XP or to solo, which is, from what was said many times before, not the way the epic content is meant to be played.

Hello,

it is something I posted on Discord a while ago, but it was scrolled without much echo, so I would like to put it under a fair consideration.

My idea is to remove the Still Spell from Bladesinger mandatory feat list. The reasoning is:

Still Spell, in the lorewise approach, assumes using spells without gestures. At the same time, Bladesingers specifically have one hand left for spellcasting and, while I assume Still Spell could still be a choice for some of them, I don't think it should be mandatory, seeing that the class still requires Four other feats on entry (Five in total), making it one of the most feat-taxed PRCs on CD, even more taxed than Weapon Master after CD changes.

Mechanically, Bladesinger gains Greater Spellsong, which in turn removes ASF from light armor. While the usefulness of this is disputable in current setup (The best light caster armors - elven chains often have their ASF penalty removed anyway.), the efect makes Still Spell moot for using light armor and anything heavier is not quite fitting for the spirit of the class. Seeing that, saving for Song Of Fury that is gained on level 10 and AC bonus from int that is capped on 5 (on the contrary to non-caster classes like IB or Duelist) other Bladesinger class features are not terribly strong, I don't think that having the feat tax reduced would de-balance the class, while it could open way for more viable Bladesinger builds.

Moreso, the class ability called Song of Celerity is a one-use-Haste cast on a minimal possible caster level. It would be nice if it was either removed along with decreasing the feat-tax or bolstered? With current availability of items and scrolls of haste, it seeems completely superfluous.

I would also be grateful for confirming the class requirements and potentially - updating them in haks, because that alone caused issues with levelling into the class - was a problem I experienced myself, but I know I was not the only one. IIRC, Lore and Perform were involved previously and, while they are theoretically not needed these days, I couldn't still take the class without them.

I would like to thank  for DMing Eina's personal plotline related to her (private) PRC request! Autumn Winds will remain one of the most memorable events I ever had on CD and I wish to express my absolute gratitude for keeping me on my toes all the time and making me second-guess every single choice I made, for showing an extreme amount of patience and kindness outside the game and for being merciful, despite the constant dice curse that lingered upon me during your event. ;)

Arcane Warrior could use access to Heal, Discipline, and Tumble to bring it up to parity with Eldritch Knight.

I would love to see Heal for the Bladesinger, as it was discussed some time ago on the forums.

Thank you! It was a pleasure to chase Kron down. I admire your adult and composed approach to PVP, using it as a plot tool to enhance the story and make both parties enjoy it thoroughly in the process! :)

From my experience, such things happen sooner or later to every experienced player. I hope that you will be enjoying everything you are planning to do now and I will be looking forward to seeing you in-game if you'll decide the time has come again. :)

One way or another, feel free to reach out via Discord, stay safe and enjoy yourself! :)

From the very first time we exchanged words, you showed nothing but kindness and understanding, and the RP we had is always remembered fondly, despite all the years that passed since then.

In a way, I can understand how your feel, leaving CD for quite a while myself. Still, I also believe that you judge yourself too harshly. We all make mistakes, pay for them, and learn from them. For me, you will remain a valuable and cherished member of this community, and even if you will decide to leave for a time or for good, your trace will remain here, with all the work you did for CD, with guides on the elven forum and, most importantly, in hearts and minds of us all.

That said, we all come here for fun and relaxation, to create awesome stories, and to experience the moments of joy and pain alike, along with our PCs. When it no longer feels satisfying or right, the best one can do is indeed to take a break. There is nothing wrong with that and you will certainly be more than welcome if you'll decide to return one day. No matter what you will decide though, remember that you are always welcome to hit me up, here, via discord, or any other channel. Stay safe and I am sending all the warm thoughts your way, hoping that the dark moment of your life will pass and become nothing more than a distant memory. :)

General Discussion / Holiday Thank You

Thank you so much for hosting this meaningful and fun event. As I stated before, it is a moment to be remembered for a long, long time. I may only hope that every single player enjoyed the Yeartide as much as I did.

I would also like to thank the whole CD community for being here and making it all possible. As Eina said in her speech, thank you all for being here and being awesome! :)
