The original game was ground breaking for its time, I want to see it updated in a more substantial way. Yes what we are getting is good, but it could be better.
That being said I have wanted this badly forever, NWN 2 failed to capture the original, and if Beamdog is going to use the same format of private server ownership for the userbase that made the original so great then it'll soar.

It may lead to a renewal of desire to create content, and new servers. Better Hak integration and a more streamlined way to handle patching would be great. That being said I have to quote an interview from earlier this year.

People have imported Witcher 1 and 2 assets, even whole areas, into their NWN game worlds. How did CD Projekt come to use the Aurora engine? Do you have any great stories to share there?
Trent: We had known the CD Projekt fellows from the BG1 days when they translated Baldur's Gate without external support. They basically reverse engineered the text system and injected their localization.
We later met with the CD Projekt team as they started on the Witcher series. They were interested in licensing the Aurora engine and tools as the starting point for the Witcher game. They pulled together a really impressive internal demo and without much further discussion we licensed the team the engine, which they did a ton of work on before shipping the first Witcher game. I'm certain some of the ideas behind Neverwinter Nights and the Aurora engine live on in their team and their products.

If this engine was used for development of The Witcher Series, it is capable of much more than the 2000-2001 era graphics thats all I am saying.

It looks to me like the UI was scaled and they added depth of field, essentially it is the same game, not sure if worth the money.

I don't think grinding is easy, the xp drip requires you to be active and then it stops after a set amount based on character/ECl. I've been on the server since 2011 and still don't have a single character over level 20 and never have held more than 200k gold at any given time.

Pretty sure it's not in the module, but my research tells me it is a spell at level 8 for clerics with that domain.

I am trying to log in, I can select a character, and it loads up. Then the HUD shows up but the game is blank, a few seconds later I disconnect with the message that connection has failed and I have timed out.

I am still having this issue with them, it is so incredibly frustrating.

Someone has the named BallisticDummy (It should be me, so when I try to log in using it, it doesn't work they tell me my username or password is incorrect.) Trying to register a new account with this name reveals it is already taken. Trying to register a new account name using my email address reveals that yes, my email address is also in use by an account on the site. So what is going on here? Why when I request a change of password, does the email not come to my inbox, in fact it does not arrive at all. If anyone has been wondering where I have been, this is where I have been, unable to replace my broken Hak files, because Nexus mods is not really cooperating.

Whats gotten me so boned, is that I have tried every password I have ever used for anything at all since I was in High School. (It is a lot of passwords, and I don't know how I remembered them.) The strange thing is that there is an account there called ballisticdummy and it should be my account, I remember making it. However when I request an email for a password change I don't receive one, and am stuck wondering if someone hijacked my account, or that there is some other issue.

Well my hak files are broken, and Nexusmods doesn't allow a download unless you have an account. I apparently have one, but they are giving me the run around with logins and passwords, I am steamed as hell about it. Anything that can be done?

The issue seems to be occurring in other programs as well, may just be my windows messing up. It ran an automatic chkdisk the other day when I booted up. In any case the only way to fix it in the case of the other programs was to completely re-install from scratch, which given all the patches and haks I need to play is just a time consuming pain in the ass.

Can try the graphics thing, whats animation fix? This is all strange because up until Wednesday I could log in fine.

So here is a tizzy I am in, I try to log in, get to the character select screen; pick a character, hit play and it loads up. At about the 3/4-4/5 point in the loading bar, NWN crashes.

Oh, wait, that's sleazy.  But that counts too, right?

Is he a crooked get what I want and defend whoever to get it lawyer, or is he the Tom Cruise in "A Good Few Men." types?

Also I have Ril'Bryn, she can be cool and collected, or downright violent, haven't decided.

I have used Hoppy Feet a few times in combat to get a tactical advantage, like attacking archers who were firing across a body of water, or a bridge clogged with undead to attack their other units that were causing havoc on the other side. (Practical uses I might add.) In each instance I had LoS.
