Since I will no longer be running these, I can give away the secrets.

It was a lost Netherese "storybook" that would reset when people left. The Heroes (tm) were the "children" brought in. The witch that suggested they find the Heroes (tm)? Was the storyteller.

The story evolved based on what characters believed and thought. So if the character firmly believed in fae, it would behave as if fae rules were true. If you believed in demons, they were real. If you believed singing would make little birds swarm to you like Cinderella, so it was. Just like it would work for children believing in Santa Claus - he's only real if you believe he is!

As a librarian, I hope you'll all continue to be inspired to look up the true fairy tales each of the adventures was based on. If you want suggestions, just reach out and I can recommend some fun (non-standard) tales!

I'm almost done with grad school! I have 12 weeks to finish my 15 competency reports and will wrap up November 19. I'm going to try to hit them hard for a few weeks and see if I can get ahead, then I'll be available for more events! For our newer players, I'm known for personal development quests, Fairy Tale Theater, and other special requests. People can always PM me between now and then to run some smaller things, but lead time to plan it may be just a few days ahead.

Just like that! I'm officially on vacation as of... two hours ago. I will be away from most computer stuff until after the 16th. See everyone then!

This is my last bad semester! I'm taking three graduate level courses (one of them is kicking my butt, but I'm rather meh about it, since all my other grades are good). I likely won't be able to schedule much until May, but I'm always willing to do small ad hocs or "family visits" as people like. If my schedule allows, I will try to sneak a Fairy Tale Theater in before May as well.

I started on Atari  

I used to watch She-ra, He-man, and the stupid DnD cartoon on Saturday mornings. I thought I was adopted since no one else in my family liked fantasy anything.

My sister got suckered into playing a lame halfling rogue (we'd tell her when to roll - she was clueless otherwise) when her first boyfriend and I wanted to play DnD in high school.

That's how I started!
