and , Thank you so much for everything over the last few months. Voss' Rashemen events really pushed me as a roleplayer to examine him as a character and figure out what's at his core and what that means for him moving forward. Anyone who is lucky enough to have either of you run a personal plot for them will be treated to the best of the best, in my opinion.

Just wanted to take a moment to genuinely and sincerely thank the people who work very hard (and without pay) to make CD the awesome place it is. I have only had time recently to log in infrequently and have asked often that  make last-minute adjustments to schedules for events that I'm sure were very inconvenient. Even so, I've seen the tremendous development that has taken place due to the dedication of long-time devs like  and as well as those who joined the dev team more recently like  in the last few months and been very impressed.

While other servers and communities on nwn are dwindling or mired in too much drama to be able to update or maintain cohesive and driving stories, CD has thrived and grown. And while there have been the minor hiccups and miss-steps expected in any roleplay-driven community CD is still here; not only going strong, but going stronger than ever before.

Thank you all for your hard work and dedication. You have made CD a labor of love, and it shows. In particular, I'd like to thank the DM staff, SDMs, and ADMs for all the effort you put in to crafting not only the overarching stories of CD that drive square rp and encourage players to interact and engage with one another towards common - and sometimes opposed - goals; but also for the very considerate way in which you all handle personal and private quest requests like Voss' recent ventures in Rashemen that Arya and both made one of the most poignant, memorable, and personal event series I've ever been in.

When DMs give such focus to the rp and stories you've built as a player it feels incredible! It is the greatest compliment to feel acknowledged in such a way, and I hope that every player on this server can experience that rush at least once while you're here. It also shows you all to be masters of the craft of storytelling that you can so easily design a plot around a character you don't play.

I know there's a DM appreciation thread already, but I felt that this is something that needed its own thread. Thank you all who work so hard to make the server great. I look forward to what stories we will all make together in the future.

I want to specifically thank @belladonna for all the hard work she's doing organizing the DM Item returns and changes as well as communicating to the players clearly as we turn in items for review. All of our admins do a great job, but lately it seems like Bella has been putting in extra hours to make sure everything runs smoothly and players can have as little disruption to their rp and fun as possible. Whether it be answering questions on discord about lore and systems, codifying an orderly process for getting DM items reviewed and updated to the new guidelines, or approving special requests on the forums Bella seems to be everywhere at once.

Thank you so much for your dedication and your time doing all that.

Wanted to do a quick shout-out to the builders/scripters/admins of the server. You've all been putting a tremendous amount of work in keeping the server fresh with new goodies for us to enjoy as well as fixing bugs and problems. I think it's fair to say that you guys do as much work as paid game devs, and this is just volunteer. Thank you for all you do.

Player Announcements / An apology

I'm likewise confused by this. I haven't been able to interact with you much since you returned, but I remember way back when we used to rp with Sin Mat. I've never had a problem with you that I can recall, and I'm not happy to see you go, man. I'm hopeful that something can be done to reconcile things so the server and community don't have to lose a great rper. I won't question your decision, but if there's anything I can do to convince you to stay please let me know.

I feel like I missed a good conversation in discord. I'm curious, though, how it slows down the leveling process if the fairy was scaled to be equivalent to 300 per day for the week. For instance, right now we get ticks of 15 (if non-ecl) up to a maximum of 300 in a day. If we could have a per-week cap instead of a per-day one, it would be sensible to have that cap be 2100, which would be the 300 per day scaled to a week instead, and rather than getting 15 per tick, maybe double that to give 30/tick and increased the rate that you get ticks to every 2 or 3 minutes instead of the (I think) 5-7 it is now. If this was done, and a player could only log on 1 day per week, they could get their full 2100 xp in just over 2 or 3 hours, but the players able to log in daily would also benefit from faster leveling as they would be getting bigger ticks and more often. That said, with a weekly cap of 2100, it would really only mean faster leveling at lower levels and not higher levels since you'd still be capped to exactly the same rp xp limit weekly as you are right now.

Again, I will note here that I have no idea of how the scripting for this is set up or if anything I've posited above is even possible. If it is, though, I don't see where it disadvantages one type of player over any other. I could be wrong, though.

I do see the argument about "poisoning the community", though . . . and I don't really have a solution for that other than an agreement as players that we not engage in that kind of behavior. In the past, I wouldn't expect the community to be able to handle something like that, but I feel like the community on CD has matured a lot - and with facilitation from discord - it's much easier now to be honest and open in our OOC dealings with one another. I think it's alright to ask someone to log in for some rp, but that's not something that should be abused - on either side.

I guess my jaded viewpoint is that I enjoy playing on CD and try to log in as often as I can - work and responsibilities irl permitting. I kind of assume this sentiment is shared by everyone who plays on the server, and if that's the case I wouldn't expect anyone to log in purely to get fairy ticks rather than seeking genuinely enjoyable rp. I admit, though, that may be a bit idealistic.

I think this has been proposed before, but I'm in favor of it as well - if it's possible.

Wanted to thank all those players who have made St. Kale's your characters' choice for socializing. I've enjoyed - on multiple characters - getting to meet and know your characters at the bar.

Big thanks to @belladonna for Arduinna's event the other night. Despite complications that put a crunch on time, the event was still very enjoyable and had me on the edge of my seat. It was a blast, and I look forward to the next.
