Suggestions & Ideas / Cormyr and the Dalelands UI Ov...
Last post by Tariel - May 25, 2026, 12:00 PM
Hello,

as I have the game through GoG and not Steam, I am unable to obtain the override. I have tried everything I could find, including sending a POST request through curl to the Steam API in the hope of getting a download link.
Can that please be added somewhere, so non Steam users can get that? Perhaps the onedrive place where the haks are, or on the Wiki?

That would help a lot. Thanks.

Hello,

I did not get the chance to role play with you directly; however, that did not hinder me from enjoying your role play. It is my hope that you return when life allows. You certainly added life & fun - no matter how small or great the contribution, remember that you leave ripples with the lives you touch be it in game or outside of it. I want to thank you for enlivening Yulash and creating a spark it needed.

You will be missed and ever welcomed upon returning. I am proud of you for your courage. The ending of a marriage is difficult, and this doesn't even touch the surface of all the hurt, guilt, and self-reflection that follows. Celebrate your fresh start as an opportunity not a failure.

As someone who closes their eyes at night & prays they wake in the morning, I can tell you with certainty - each day is a gift. Make the most of it. Take care & see you when I see you.

Cheers,
Plat

Upir:

I wanted to extend a personal thank you for your teamwork, friendship, and all of the groundwork that you did for those of us who came to C&D after you. You put a lot of energy into enriching the Yƻlash scene for so many of us players here. When you next get the urge to jump in game, you are always welcome!

Take care of yourself, and take care of what's important. If or when you get the itch to play again, we'll be here. And if you don't... that's okay too.

Completely understandable with regards to the IRL stuff, and if you ever feel like returning, you'll always be welcome here.

Take care of yourself first and foremost!! Hopefully catch you every now and then. When life gives you lemons, you through them back at her face, hold her in a chokehold and squeeze them lemons into her eyes, seize the day!!   And worry not, w'll be around either on Discord or in game, so feel free to drop by whenever, try new goals after you've grounded yourself some more and decide to play a little bit to relax.

Keep being the cool person you are.

There simply are no words I can say that will be well received by most that read them.

Valian/Upir. I am grateful for you showing us the doorway to CD. I am not sure where I would be if you did not.

My Discord is open as you work through this next phase of life. Let me know if you need anything.

This is a little bit sad... my first experience in Yulash after surfacing was seeing Puszek make veiled threats at Upir, and the Banite who shaved with a ruler was such a permanent fixture of the town. I particularly appreciated the way he brought into fashion giving little jobs to newbies for sums that helped a lot while being pocket money for high-level characters - it both helped estabilish the Banites as an actual power in Yulash and was a fun interaction generator.

As for the unfortunate end to your attempt... I think it was a mostly doomed effort from the start because the mayor sees the temple of Bane as an extended hand of Zhentil keep, which is a direct threat to his power. So, don't beat yourself up, there are very, very few talented diplomats who would have gotten anything more out of him in your situation.

Finally, I'm sad to hear about the way your personal life has turned and very much hope it turns for the better!

Here's hoping things blow over and you'll come back to us when you feel ready!
