If I had to take a guess, I'd say you're either a massive fan of del Toro or Mignola.  Either way, absolutely amazing work!

Both. Guillermo Del Toro is amongst my favorite directors and Mike Mignola is perhaps my favorite comic artist second to Greg Capullo and then Todd McFarlane.
