With the sun shining through the branches of the giant trees overhead, the birds and animals of the forest calling out to each other, it was almost too peaceful. But the man that walked by the Giants today knew that the situation was a lot more dire than this. He didn't really care if it was truly another resurrection of Moander or some Underdark god that corrupted the forest and destroyed lives. Something needed to be done. And since he was finally back in Cormyr, he could at least offer his help to the Grove.
As he walked towards the hidden entrance of the Grove, a multitude of thoughts assaulted him. Memories of this place, worries and hopes. Has it really been four years? Five? The journey home had taken a lot longer than he expected. And now Arabel was filled with so many new people, he felt like he had to start at the beginning again. Lady Shassra seemed to be the only person he actually remembered from his last visit here. She didn't mind that his social skills, so carefully honed by Voctoria in the past, went down the Underdark. He felt out of place in the city. Taking it with a hint of irony helped a lot. Time will tell if he could connect with people again.
Right now all this didn't matter, though. What DID matter was if Iyanna was still around the Grove. He heard that people at least know her name, but someone else replaced her as Archdruid. Stepping into the Grove was almost like coming home a second time. At least this place didn't change. It was good.
Settling down near the fireplace he started to scribble down a quick note for Iyanna.
And fed it to the fire.
And he tried again. And again.
It surely wasn't easy to take his thoughts to parchment. In the end, his social awkwardness prevailed and he simply wrote:

Iyanna. I am back, hoping to see you, tell you all kinds of stuff and lend my aid in serving the forest. I'm glad to be back.

Lenny

He shook his head at his note, but left it at the grove nonetheless, in plain sight. Everyone looking at it probably wouldn't know him, but the chances were good that it eventually found the one it was meant for.
