Hi everyone!
First of all, thank you all for being such lovely people. I've only had extremely pleasant interactions with people IC and OOC when needing help, having questions, or being unsure about things. I appreciate that A LOT. That alone is enough that I keep logging back in, day after day, spending hours upon hours. I've really enjoyed my time here.

I say that just to underline that this feedback doesn't mean I don't like the server and the people here.e

I don't really get the rp xp system.
I understand why the DM team and server as a whole don't want people to hit level 30 in their first week. That removes a lot of the 'growth' of a character, and I completely agree with the idea.
I just think it's way too slow, and it removes a massive amount of incentive from going out on adventure, especially in combination with the Pawn shop.
You don't really have to grind for mid level (12-20?) gear, and doing dungeons doesn't do anything to progress you, xp wise, since you're capped almost immediately after level ups. At level 15, it took one dungeons to be capped, and the 300 xp a day means 17 days to level to 16.
I don't personally think that's a good balance. Any system that incentivizes logging in to just sit around for a couple of hours to get the xp cap, and nothing more, doesn't seem to me like a healthy system.
Now, if a level appropriate dungeons boss would also give a meager 100 rp xp upon kill, would that speed things up immensely? Not really. Three dungeons a day, and you've only doubled the speed, but also incentivized people to go out and explore and do dungeons together. If a system like that was implemented, I know -I- would spend a lot more time on dungeons.

Just my two cents! I hope none of you take this the wrong way, I love the server! I'd just like to love it -more- :3

With love,

I kinda agree on this. Expecially on EU hours most people are online in the square, get their xp and hop off. I recently hit 20 on Chiara so i'll add this feedback on top.

after you reach lvl 15 it gets pretty still. Unil 15 there's less' waiting' but you still work for something as you rp and get your story growing.

At level 13 you can start getting a few items you can equip 'soon'

but the 'search' for items is almost dreadful.

Between pruple and orange items there's what -3 months- of time total? if not more.

That means that adventuring for better gear is something absolutely not going to happen and is aboslutely not incentivised.

I managed to get my full set of eldritch gear at the start of level 19 (except one item)

Up to level 16 leveling is nice, you're hyped because you can do more and more, see new places, join higher level people. But after that? that feeling slowly dies, you do the same dungeon every day, IF you go out for a dungeon, that is.

Maybe gearing can get some tweaks, like allowing a certain amount of higher tier level equipped between the full step.

I know this is an event based server, where most of the focus is on that kind of play, but besides the halloween event that was open for everyone i couldn't join any other event since if they're up, they're always with closed rosters and it's hard to get in them for a 'new' player.

Sure, the 'stacking' of doubl rpxp limit was a blessing, i don't feel like i -have- to log in every day or miss on my progression, but still, the idling rpxp drags on a 'waiting' system with idle and dull rp because most people just sit in the square and chitchat because they -need- to do it.

There's no goals to reach, nothing to work for, you just log, get your xp and that's it.

What you said at the end was exactly the point I was trying to make!
It feels like there's no personal agency in the levelling process past 15-16.
You get capped on combat xp after a single dungeon, maybe two, and then you just have to wait xx number of days.
I'd -love- some sort of system that rewards actual activity, without majorly impacting the server or "forcing" people to participate in it.
That's what I meant with the, for example, 100 rp xp for clearing a level appropriate dungeon.
