Highlights

  • Added Tempest.

  • Combined Lingering Song and Extra Music into Empowered Music, with additional effects.

  • Fixed Divine Champion to accept ranged weapon focus feats for its class requirements.

  • Arcane and Divine Trickster now have their own sneak attack feat lines.

  • Added Shape Mastery support for .35's Spell Targeting UI.

  • Added missing Favored Enemy racial feats.

  • Barbarian Rage, Divine Might, and Divine Shield are now instant feats.

  • Use Magic Device's cost table has been rebalanced for our server's item values. T5 and T6 items will require higher UMD.

  • Appraise increases the max sale price of items to stores by 1,000 GP for every 5 base ranks.

  • Fixed many caster and metamagic feats not being available for selection on PRC caster levels.

  • Added all base race sub-variants to character generation.

  • Added thousands of new placeable, VFX, and item appearances.

  • Added more armor appearances for special armors (Adamantine, Mithral Fullplate, Elven Chain, etc)

  • Added new damage types.

  • All characters of all genders, races, and phenotypes can now wear cloaks and robes in any fighting or sitting style. Some robes or cloaks might not animate correctly.

  • Removed CaGUI. Players who still wish to use it can install it manually: neverwintervault.org/project/nwn1/other/gui/cagui-transparent-gui

  • Buffed Halberd, Maul, and Whip weapon stats.

  • Added two-handed Longspear.

  • Added missing epic trap types: Holy, Tangle, Blob of Acid, Gas, Negative.

  • PC widget, skin, languages and DM tools have been moved into their new "Dungeon Master Items" and "Player Character Items" palette categories.

Races:

  • Added plant racial type.

  • Added all standard racial type variants to character creation. The Subrace Setter is now only used for granting your starting gold, xp, and for setting up standardized exotic races.


Classes

  • Added Tempest.

  • Fixed Shadow Adept not granting Darkvision at level 7.

  • Fixed Shadow Adept granting Greater Shield of Shadows early at level 4 instead of 8.

  • Fixed Celestial Bloodline and Fiendish Bloodline not being selectable on level up for Aasimar and Tieflings on some classes.

  • Removed the default monk eye glow. Level 20 monks will be given the Eye Color Control widget on login to apply eye glow effects.

  • Lingering Song and Extra Music have been combined into a single feat: "Empowered Music".

    The duration of the character's bard song lasts one additional turn, and curse song an additional 5 rounds. The effective level of all songs are increased by 2 where perform skill requirements are met for the new empowered song level, and the character gains an additional number of songs per day equal to their positive charisma modifier to a maximum bonus equal to their bard song progressing class levels.

     Empowered Music replaces Lingering Song. If you had Extra Music but not Lingering Song, Extra Music will be changed into Empowered Music on login. If you have both Lingering Song (now Empowered Music) and Extra Music you will need to request a relevel or rebuild to change Extra Music to a different feat.

  • Fixed Divine Champion to accept ranged weapons for its class requirements.

  • Fixed Divine Champion's non-evil alignment class requirement.

  • Divine Trickster and Arcane Trickster now have their own sneak attack feat lines. Existing Trickster PCs will have their pre-epic trickster sneak attack feats corrected on login. Epic Tricksters who had LETOed Improved Sneak Attack feats onto the character will need to request a relevel to redo their epic levels.

  • Arcane Trickster and Divine Trickster are given the "Sneak Attack Mastery" feat at level 16, keeping their qualifications for Improved Sneak Attack.

  • Fixed Shape Mastery not being available on various caster full caster PRCs who were missing it.

  • Fixed Brew Potion, Craft Wand, Scribe Scroll either missing from selection or only being selectable at incorrect high levels on many caster PRCS for characters who meet the spell casting level requirements through caster PRC levels.

  • Fixed Spell Focus, Greater Spell Focus, Epic Spell Focus feats missing from selection on many caster PRCs.

  • Fixed Spell Penetration, Greater Spell Penetration, and Epic Spell Penetration feats missing from selection on many caster PRCs.

  • Fixed spell metamagic feats missing from selection on many caster PRCs.

  • Fixed Combat Casting and Epic Combat Casting feats missing from selection on many caster PRCs.

  • Disabled being able to take Druid or Cleric levels with Favored Soul.

  • Disabled being able to take Monk or Paladin levels if they and their associated PRCs did not make up for at least half of your class levels after HD 2.


Spells

  • Added ShapeMastery column to spells.2da used by shape mastery compatible spells for altering the spell's Harms Allies targeting indicator flag.

  • Corrected chill metal, vitrolic weapon, electrify metal, and sonic weapon's conjure VFX.

  • Fixed Mass Haste being incorrectly set as Enchantment instead of Transmutation.

  • Fixed incorrect innate level on various spells.

  • Fixed incorrect somatic or verbal component flags on various spells.

  • Fixed incorrect metamagic flags on various spells.

  • Added new SpellDescriptors column to spells.2da.

Feats

  • Fixed the use range of the Revive tool.

  • Added monk's Abundant Step feat to replace sharing shadowdancer's Shadow Jump. Monks will automatically have their feats corrected on login.

  • Added Natural Armor feats.

  • Added Favored Enemy: Ooze feat.

  • Added Favored Enemy: Plant feat.

  • Removed deprecated CEP weapon feats from level up selection.

  • Removed errant Favored Enemy: Outsider feat from various classes.

  • Barbarian Rage, Divine Might and Divine Shield are now instant.

  • Added Sneak Attack Mastery, which qualifies the character for Improved Sneak Attack.

  • Added Alternate Form: Animal and Alternate Form: Hybrid feats.

  • Added "Use Limitation: Use Magic Device cannot bypass requirements" item property.

  • Added "Use Limitation: Must meet all requirements" item property.

  • Added "Use Limitation: Item must remain equipped while spells are active" item property. Unequipping an item with this property will remove any buffs cast by the item.

  • Added "Only Useable By: Skill" item property. This considers the character's modified skill rank, and can be bypassed with Class UMD emulation DCs.

  • Added "Only Useable By: Ability" item property. This considers the character's modified ability score, and can be bypassed with Class UMD emulation DCs.

  • Added "Only Useable By: Domain" item property. This currently uses Class UMD emulation DCs.

  • Added "Returning" item property for ranged throwing weapons (throwing axes, shuriken, darts) and ammunition (arrows, bullets, bolts), which creates infinite ammo/ranged throwing weapons. When creating items with this property, you must set the item's stacksize to its maximum.

  • Added "Eat" and "Drink" item cast spell properties for roleplay items.

  • Added Value Increase and Value Decrease item properties for adjusting an item value's beyond the toolset's 32k limit.

  • Increased Halberd's base damage from 1d10 to 1d12.

  • Increased Maul's base damage from 1d10 to 1d12.

  • Cloak wing visibility is now controlled via script instead of cloakmodel.2da. The result of this functionality is now we can force wings to be shown during PC flight regardless of cloak.

  • Added female support for Demonblade fighting animation set.

Classes

  • Fixed spell casting ability requirement checks to correctly check for the ability to cast spells of n-level, rather than checking for n-class level. This will effect sorcerers who gain spells a level slower than wizards. PCs who don't meet this requirement will not be able to continue taking their PRC until releveled to correct their class layouts.

  • Cleric

    • Added Metal domain available to Astilabor, Dumathoin, Flandal Steelskin, Gond, Grumbar, Laduguer:

      Clerics of the Metal domain gain metal-related spell powers.

      Domain Special Abilities and Bonus Spells:
      Hammer Proficiency: Automatic weapon proficiency with light hammers, warhammers, and mauls.
      The cleric gains access to the following spells at the specified spell level: Keen Edge (2), Greater Magic Weapon (3), Blade Barrier (5).

    • Updated all domain descriptions.

  • Favored Soul

    • At 1st level, Favored Souls are now automatically proficient with the favored weapons of their deity.
    • At 3rd level, Favored Souls automatically gain weapon focus in their deity's favored weapon.
    • At 12th level, Favored Souls automatically gain weapon specialization in their deity's favored weapon.
    • These feats are granted after taking their respective favored soul class level. These are retroactive for all current favored souls. No relevels are required unless you had taken a weapon proficiency feat to use your deity's weapon and now want to change that feat to something else.
    • Because of these unique feat grants, favored souls who need to change deity after having taken their first favored soul level will need to first remove all of their favored soul levels before changing deity, then relevel/rebuild back into favored soul.

  • Green Knight

    • Updated feat descriptions.


  • Mystic Theurge

    • Changed Mystic Theurge's class requirements from level 3 arcane class to require the ability to cast 2nd-level arcane and 2nd level divine spells. PCs who don't meet this requirement will not be able to continue taking Mystic Theurge until releveled to correct their class layouts.

  • Shadowdancer

    • Fixed Shadowdancer not being granted Darkvision at level 2.

  • Shifter

    • Added female version of Drider shape.

Feats

  • Replaced all class and race specific weapon proficiency feats with individual weapon proficiency feats. This allows us to bypass engine limitations that restricted how many class or race proficiency feats we could add for a weapon, which we were at the limit at for many weapons. Now we only need to add simple, exotic, or martial; plus the weapon's own specific proficiency feat.

  • Removed deprecated "Researched Epic Spell" feats.

  • Weapon feats (weapon focus, improved critical, etc) now include the names of CEP weapons shared by the feat.

Spells

  • Epic spells can now be cast by ECL 21 characters via their special abilities radial menu.


Races

  • Fixed Daylight Adaption not being available to Duergar PCs.

  • Fixed Dwarves automatic weapon proficiency in Dwarven Waraxe to correctly qualify the character for dwarven waraxe feats. (weapon focus, weapon specialization, improved critical, etc)

  • Added magical tattoo item type. Magical tattoos whilst in a PC's inventory can provide minor benefits, as if it were an equipped item. Magical tattoos can be rewarded from extended plotline quests.

  • Added Use Limitation: Spell School item property.

  • All books can now be equipped. For now these all reuse the same appearance as the fashion accessory book.

v4.00b3 is an update patch primarily aimed at fixing some outstanding 2da or art asset issues and adding some content needed for our Winterfest Festival event. No downloads will be issued for builders with this patch; changes will be propagated for download in our next major content update v4.01a1 next year.

Classes

  • Dragon Disciple

    • Removed Dragon Disciple's dragon breath and fire immunity feat grants from class level up. These grants have been handled in script for the past few years to account for our different dragon disciple types. Having them in the 2da added extra unnecessary work for non-standard dragon disciple LETOs.

  • Swordmage

    • Added missing racial spell-like abilities/feats from Swordmage's class radial menu.

    • Fixed Flame Gauntlet and Lightning Fury incorrectly being able to target the ground.

Heads

  • Fixed eyelashes on various Dafana heads incorrectly using the hair color channel. This change fixes some glaring visual issues with characters using stark contrasting skin and hair colors such as drow and duergar characters. For the majority of other characters this change won't be noticeable.

This update is primarily to update our 2das to match changes in the 8193.36-12 Patch, but also adds some new content:

  • Human Female: 3 new heads (249-251)
  • Elven Female: 3 new heads (171, 205-206)
  • Updated textures on Elven Female Heads 201 and 202.
  • Added new foot, shin, thigh, hand options for female models of all races.
