On rumors about Bans

So it's come to our attention that a few rumors are being spread on certain bans, and we wanted to address a few things.

First, it has always been CD's policy to be as upfront and forthright as possible about bans. This is why we post every ban publicly, because Players deserve to hear why someone was banned, and we're more than prepared to explain our reasoning on each of them.
There may be some servers where asking such questions is dangerous - CD is definitely not one of them.

Now, we don't always announce all the gory details of each ban, in part out of politeness, and because not every ban is permanent (even if they are indefinite). That said though, we're quite willing to go into such detail in private, or further in public as necessary, if people have questions or concerns.

In short though - we don't ban people lightly here. Arguing with us - even a knock down drag out screaming match - isn't enough to get people banned. What does, though, end up getting people banned is when we can't work with someone at all. Things like continued harassment of other players, baldfaced lying to the staff or trying to gaslight us about things, especially when it concerns the actions of other players or DMs trying to get them in trouble, or gain advantage for your character, are things we have very little tolerance for. Those sorts of things can, and have, gotten past players uninvited from the virtual game table.
