Now it's looking like my graphics card is acting up... I'm hoping it's just a software issue as my computer goes through it's days and days and days of trying to catch up on 5 years worth of Windows updates and drivers.

I hope so! Otherwise, another graphics card, I hope yours isn't integrated.

It'd be more cost efficient to get a new laptop, I'm afraid, than to replace the video card in my experience.  Murgh.  Come on computer, hold out until September!
