Quote from: Punny Bunny on Sep 06, 2024, 08:53 PMName: Linde Starlight
Race: Star Elf
Initial Alignment: CG
Description: Fair skin, pretty, violet eyes, red hair, medium height
Deity (Note: Characters without a patron are subject to permadeath in DM events): Hanali (or another Elf Pantheon deity depending but will be one of the good ones like Corellon or Angharradh)
Base Class & Proposed Development: SORC + CLERIC + MYSTIC THEURGE

Background (500-1000 words): Linde Starlight is originally from the Star Elf homeland but has come to Faerun as an adventurer. She has a strong force of personality that goes beyond her seemingly pretty looks and soft disposition. Inside she has a heart that loves the Seldarine and wants to spread their joy and love through being not only a devout cleric but also wielding a powerful magic that has manifested inside of her from unknown reasons.

Given that the star elf homeland has been through so much she doesn't want to practice her magic in her homeland for fear of either hurting her friends and family or also drawing in more unwanted attention. Instead she's going to go to Faerun, adventure, and hone her magical prowess in a way that she hopes will be able to keep the ones she cares about most safe from harm.

Back in the star elf homeland she had recently become a cleric in order to pay respect to the Seldarine. She found herself drawn to Hanali most of all because of the way in which she was able to wield her personality in a way that the other members of the Seldarine don't. She also finds herself relating to the idea of healing wounds through forgiveness and love and wants to be able to spread that kind of philosophy on behalf to faraway lands so taht they don't become war and horror torn like her own.

One day she may go back to the star elf homeland but for now she's going to devote herself to prostheletyzing who she can and making friends and allies along the way. She isn't afraid of going home but feels it best for now to spread her wings and go out on her own journey of discovery and daring.

She will try to harness her power for the forces of good but how that power will manifest will depend on the people she meets along the way. Will she try to use her magic to burn bad people before they hurt others, or will she use her powers only for healing the wounded? Or will she try and find a way to charm the hearts of those who are somewhere in the middle to convince them to be on teh forces of good instead? All of these are possibilities for Linde.

Back home her family has suffered from all the tragedies but are still relatively alive and intact. She has two older brothers that are soldiers and her parents were both warriors as well. She is a bit of a black sheep in that regard but not in a bad way. Her family has a soft spot for her as the youngest child and as the only daughter so they sometimes let her get away with things she shouldn't but she has a good heart and doesn't misuse that trust.

Hopefully she will be able to go out and come back stronger and better than ever before so that she can make her family and friends proud.

Personality Profile: Sweet, soft, kind, forgiving, supportive
Goals: (Consider beyond the obvious - everyone wants to get stronger and make a name for themselves. What else does your character want out of life? Do they have any hobbies? Anyone they want to find or meet? A family mystery or secret they want to explore?): She wants to get people to view her goddess fondly while also harnessing her magic power in a way that won't put her family back home in jeopardy since sorceress type people aren't very common in elven society it's probably relatively dangerous to have such power without someone to help her learn from it or understand it. She also wants to help save people before they do bad things or fall off the path of goodness.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: She has two brothers and both of her parents are alive and they all have a soft spot for her. She is a sorceress and that's uncommon for elves. She is not from Faerun. She can be a bit naive and may have tried to give someone kindness that they didn't deserve and they abused it or stopped being nice when she left. She always tries to see the good in most people but does have some creatures that she would be hard pressed to trust monster type characters.

How does this race affects the character's roleplay? Star elves are rare in Faerun and so it may be a little fascinating and a fun conversation topic.
How does it affect the roleplay of others? It will hopefully give them something to ask about or a friend to call on for support.
Does it maintain the integrity of the setting? Yes!
